Carboxymethyl beta cyclodextrin sodium salt
C42H70-nO35 · (CH2COONa)n
fine chemical grade
Carboxymethyl-β-cyclodextrin has a small hemolytic effect and a significant solubilization effect on quercetin. It can be widely used as a new excipient in pharmaceutical preparations.
Characteristics & Applications：
Carboxymethyl beta cyclodextrin can be used in medicine, chemistry and industry. Carboxymethyl beta cyclodextrin is used as chiral selectivity (or mobile phase chiral additive) for the analysis of chiral compounds by high performance liquid chromatography or high performance capillary electrophoresis. It can be mainly applied to the resolution of paroxetine and its intermediates, barbiturates, steroids, quinolones and other chiral drugs and some amino acids.
Carboxymethyl beta cyclodextrin has low solubility in solutions with lower pH, but in medium and alkaline solutions (pH>4), it can be dissolved in any concentration due to the dissociation of carboxyl groups, and its structure is loose and self-flowing Significant improvement. It has good solubility in the environment of human intestinal pH 6-7, can be used in extended-release drug formulations, and has lower hemolysis than hydroxypropyl beta-cyclodextrin.
